How it works
A word unscrambler takes a set of jumbled letters and tells you every real word that can be made from them. It's the fastest way to win at Scrabble, Words with Friends, Wordle hints, crosswords, and word-jumble puzzles.
Our unscrambler uses the standard English ENABLE1 word list — the same dictionary serious Scrabble players rely on, ~172,000 words. Type your letters and you'll see every valid word grouped by length, longest first. Use the optional filters to narrow by starting or ending letters, or exact length.
Tips for winning at word games
- Always check for 7-letter "bingos" first — they score a 50-point bonus in Scrabble.
- Two-letter words (aa, ab, ae, ag, ai, al, am, an, ar, as, at, aw, ax, ay, ba…) are the bread and butter of tight games.
- The letter Q usually plays without a U: qi, qat, qadi, qoph.
- Use

Is this word list valid for Scrabble?
Yes. ENABLE1 is the dictionary used by most major word-game apps (Words with Friends, competitive Scrabble play in North America). For Collins Scrabble Words (used internationally), some rarer words may differ slightly.
